While eyeliner is a huge trend right now its effects are timeless and classic and can be used in many ways from the very thin at the lash line to “pop” the eyes, to a generous, Elizabeth Taylor cat eyeliner that creates a sexy, come hither eye that few could resist.
A good friend told me once that "The art to great eyeliner is combination of getting the right product, liner brush and practice" and so i took that onboard and can highly recommend that tip. Practice makes perfect!
I find M.A.C Fluidline in Blacktrack is one of the best eyeliners to use and it’s brilliant with the M.A.C 266 Small Angle Brush. Just touch the angled edge of the brush into the pot and gently test on the hand to ensure you haven’t got too much product. From there, you can press the angle along the lash line and into a wing. I like to start from the middle of the lash line to the outer wing. Then go in from the inner corner and meet in the middle. It’s always best to start thin and get bigger than starting too big.
With this brush, you also have control as the brush will do most of the work. I always have some q tips and eye makeup remover at the ready in case I need to adjust anything or sharpen the edge of the wing. Also, with M.A.C Fluidline, it’s best to always keep the pot tightly closed as it can dry out.
